will a .500 record and a pl tourney home game shut lord baltimore up? i'm guessing no. a win saturday may get us one of those, maybe both. with two overtime losses on the road that would have put us in the driver's seat. those are disappointing now but you gotta be encouraged by the way this squad continues to fight.
ReplyDeleteYou would hope that, tonight, we could all get behind the boys, and behind our coach, and say 'well done!' To play that well on the road, at this point in the season, against a solid team like Navy, speaks volumes about how far these kids have come this season. Good for Joe Hill, good for Munoz, good for all of them. I ask, again: at 1-8, would you have taken even the possibility of a home game in the tournament? I think you would have.
ReplyDeleteWe finally got a PL opponent that was willing to play us in a kind of straight up man to man, and we whooped them in the first half. Once they extended pressure on us in halfcourt (like Army does), we had problems. The other teams in the PL sag on us and dare us to take 3s.
